All developments, from a simple record player to a complex hi-fi system, can ultimately be traced back to this original dream. Similarly, all milestones in headphone developments were borne by the desire to make the hi-fi experience as real and as intimate as possible.

With our earlier high-end headphone models, it seemed opportunities to increase their performance had been exhausted. The traditional transducer principle ran into physical (inertial) limits and aids such as Sennheiser’s refined Duofol diaphragms, left these limits untouched and insurmountable.
