The most advanced development from the aerospace industry is employed for the headband and headphone mounting. An extremely stable, high-tech plastic with top-notch damping properties ensures that vibrations are not felt on the headphone support. The HD 800 headphones are attached on only one side, allowing them to rest on the head optimally.

The headband, on the other hand, has a sandwich design where several layers of plastic surround a layer of metal to buffer out any vibrations.

The HD 800 utilises specially-designed, four-wire, high-performance connections with Teflon insulation.
