Heartland favourite Wu Jia Hui joins the stellar lineup of Sennheiser artistes
August 2008

August 2008 – Fresh off the release of the 881 movie soundtrack, Wu Jia Hui shot to fame singing the hit song "Yi Ren Yi Ban" which sold more than 13,000 copies in Singapore. Touted as one of the fastest rising singer-composers in the industry, Jia Hui is a voice and creative inspiration to look toward.

A promising young talent, Jia Hui has started composing since his teenage years and has about 150 songs under his belt to date. His illustrious portfolio includes writing for some of the top artistes such as Jacky Cheung, Stefanie Sun, Leon Lai and Jerry Yan. His compositions won him several awards including the 2004 Global Chinese Music Awards for Top 20 Hit Songs and 2007 Malaysia MACP Most Potential Composer Award.

In his debut album "Although I'm Willing", he adds another 8 of the songs to his composer portfolio.

Sennheiser Asia's Managing Director, Mr. S.F Ho says, "Being a company that recognises and supports aspiring musicians, we are proud to endorse Wu Jia Hui as our latest artiste. His talent in song writing and compelling vocals are making waves in the music industry, and we most warmly welcome him to the Sennheiser family."

Jia Hui will be using the 100 series evolution wireless G2 vocal set, which is capable of delivering big, assertive powerful sound, yet sensitive enough to capture even the softest note. With nine frequency banks, and four presets, each Sennheiser system, notorious for being feedback resistant brings the best out of any performance, big or small. The ew 165 condenser supercardiod microphone will be used in Jia Hui's performances, where mobility is important.

He will also be using the cardiod state-of-the-art professional evolution 935 vocal microphone, designed to cut through high on-stage levels. Highly sensitive to feedback and handling noise, it also comes with hum compensating coil and shock-mounted capsule. Designed for demanding, uncompromising professional use, it is excellent for perfect pitch delivery.

"I am very happy to have Sennheiser's sponsorship as it certainly aids in my career. It is really an honour to be chosen to join the rest of the worldwide well-known musicians and artistes," says Jia Hui. The future ahead looks bright for the inspired musician and Jia Hui will be focusing more time on his album promotion in his home town Malaysia, catering to his significant following there. At the same time, he will be dedicating more time to songwriting to bring a whole new level to his music and for his fans.
