Established in 1945 by Dr. Fritz Sennheiser, the Sennheiser Group recorded a global turnover of over €395 (US$538 million) million in 2007, an increase of 10.9 percent compared to 2006. Around 83% of Sennheiser's turnover was generated outside Germany, with the Asia and Australia market contributing a turnover of 37.8 million euros(US$51.4 million). As part of its expansion plans in Asia, Sennheiser has identified the Philippines as a key market for its Evolution range of microphones.
